Carine

Carine’s B.A. in Criminology, studies in acupuncture, and interests in different arts are reflected in her classes. Skilled in sharing her knowledge of bio-tensegrity in tangible ways, students travel through the body into deeper discoveries in a safe welcoming environment.

She began her journey in 1998 with a paperback version of “The Sivananda Companion to Yoga.” Since then, she has been certified as CYA-E-RYT 350 (Canadian Yoga Alliance-Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher 350 level) and has become a Reiki master. She holds certifications in Restorative yoga, yin, Hot, Prenatal, Kids, and Ayurveda Yoga the Madhuri Method. She is highly influenced by the Vijnana and tensegrity model sharing the therapeutic sense of joints floating in perfect tension and compression, and admires the Feldenkrais Method. Her classes are focused on calming the nervous system and may occasionally incorporate massage balls to aid in proprioception and fascial release.

Carine was  a Lululemon ambassador of Richmond, B.C. She has been a guest teacher at the Semperviva 95 hour kids teacher training where she shared her innovative ideas and skills with future teachers. She believes that yoga has infinite positive effects in our society today: developing respect and kindness for each other, our precious environment, and ourselves. ‘Pranayama carried me through two natural childbirths – two awesome boys that inspired me to teach yoga.’

You can find Carine teaching various classes, workshops and events in the lower mainland.
