Vata according to the Ayurvedic science represents wind which leads the other doshas or constitutions. When out of balance, it reveals the first signs of illness. As we transition from “pitta” summer to “vata” Autumn and winter, yin yoga allows us to physically ground down to calm the winds of seasonal change.
