Slowing to Spring
Last year a part of my body was removed through surgery. One of the doctor said that I no longer had a breast, it’s called a chest wall now. Very factual and nonchalant. I found her funny as she reminded me of Edna, the designer in the superhero movie ” The Incredibles”.
Others, may it be doctors, friends or strangers, reporters, news, OUT THERE the noise of chaos keep piling in our faces 24/7. If you keep looking outside, you’ll always find a new name for a new body part, a new virus or a new shirt that you don’t need….
So STOP!
So simple and challenging isn’t it? If I stopped writing you’d probably be annoyed now….
I had to learn to slow down first, then stopping came slowly. When that happened, cease fire of excessive searching or acrobatic doing led me to peace. I saw myself as a SAGE with one breast and one chest wall, comprising both masculine and feminine qualities, very androgynous like the sacred statues and feeling like a superhero amazingly wise all at once. So Doctor Edna as I like to call her, bless her heart, was so wrong because she gave a name to something that is nameless, and thank you! I don’t have a hole in my body chest wall or whatever you’d like to call my beautiful body, I see myself with a whole body thriving and living a fearless loving divine life.
This Spring, I hope you will make time to slow down 🙂
